CPR for Health Professionals
MedPro offers a range of CPR courses equivalent to The New Zealand Resuscitation Council’s CORE courses for doctors, nurses, dentists and dental technicians. We also run basic life support courses for groups of non-clinical staff. Please note, CPR courses are currently only available in Auckland.
Standards
All procedures and standards taught reflect currently accepted New Zealand Resuscitation Council Standards.
Our training team are highly experienced health professionals and clinical educators with a strong commitment to excellence in emergency care and emergency care education.
Both our ACLS Immediate and ACLS Advanced courses have been endorsed by the RNZCGP to meet recertification requirements for CPD and GPEP registrars at the point of Fellowship.
Endorsements
MedPro has endorsements from the following organizations:
- The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners
- The New Zealand Dental Association
- The Dental Council of New Zealand
Certification
Participants will receive the appropriate Certificates, valid for 2 years from the date of issue, on satisfactory completion of each course.
Courses Available
The following courses are currently available.
ACLS Immediate (Level 4/5) – 4 hours. This course is appropriate for Nurses, Vaccinators, Dental Staff, Doctors applying for Fellowship, General Practitioners, Midwives, First Responders.
ACLS Advanced (Level 6/7) – 8 hours. This course is appropriate for Dentists providing IV sedation and Doctors in an emergency or acute care setting.
Course Location, Delivery & Timetable
We are able to either facilitate the course at your premises, or at any other location arranged by you.
Our face to face and scenario-based training will be delivered in a way that best suits your organisation.
Please note the following minimum group number for an onsite course.
- 4 people for the ACLS Immediate course
- 6 people for the ACLS Advanced course and due to scenarios
